If you are looking for ways to get individual insurance coverage that will include maternity, we have found one plan in Texas that can offer the coverage.  Maternity can cost about $6000 – $8000 to have a baby.  This plan we have found offer maternity coverage with a HSA compatible plan that has a $2500 deductible and a 100/0 coinsurance.  If you plan your baby in a calendar year you can talk advantage of the plans $2500 max out of pocket.  The plan does allow for setting up a Health Savings Account that will allow you to deposit into the account $3250 annually for an individual to us for Health, Dental, or Vision needs.  The money deposited into the HSA account reduces your income by the amount contributed.  The money in an HSA account will grow tax deferred.  The money does roll over from year to year without the need to use it or loose it.  If you are interested in finding out more specifics on this plan that will cover maternity, please give us a call.
